Fretted Flush Bolt

This is a lovely, delicate looking, solid brass sliding bolt. It is suitable for kitchen cupboards, cabinets and wardrobes, and is available in 2 sizes and 2 finishes. The beautifully fretted end is a homage to the type of fret work found on many of the chest plate handles found on this site. The bolts are supplied with colour matching brass woodscrews.

This is a traditional antique reproduction style fitting hand made at the Armac Brassworks in Birmingham, England.

Plate handle
traditional reproduction style period brass plate handle. This plate is available in 3 different thickness of brass. Historically this was the style of handle widely used by the mass producers of antique reproduction furniture you would see in all furniture stores up and down the country. To keep the costs down the plates were thinned to reduce the metal content and reduce the price. 20G is the thinnest, 18G is in the middle, and 16G is the thickest. Plate handle
A traditional reproduction style period brass plate handle. Historically this was the style of handle widely used by the volume manufacturers of antique reproduction furniture you would see in all furniture stores up and down the country. To try and keep the costs down press tools were developed for stamping the plates from brass sheet to a good quality thickness so as not to detract too much from the original sand cast and hand dressed originals. The grip is a hot brassed forged item and the complete handle is supplied with traditional fixings of brass bolt head and steel allthread and nut.
