Q. What does Bolt and Nut and Woodscrew fixings on knobs mean?
A. There are two types of fixings:

  • Woodscrew - These have a screw thread that twists into a pilot hole in the door from the front.
  • Bolt and Nut - These have a 11/2" long bolt on a square shank which fits into a hole drilled through the door and a nut is screwed on from the back. The thread is then cut to length and covered with a nut cover (not supplied)

A. Some of our cupboard locks are handed you can tell what hand you need:

The Ten Commandments has around 75 words. The American Bill of Independence has around 250 words. EEC legislation has 2700 pages of text on the supply of vegetables. We think that simpler is better.
